What is Ceylon ground cinnamon?
Conventional Ceylon Cinnamon comes from a tree known as Cinnamomum verum, where it originates from Sri Lanka. What we use as a spice is its inner bark, which has a very pleasant aroma, as well as an intense flavour ranging from sweet to bitter. Although it is native to Sri Lanka, it is also cultivated in India and other parts of the world, including all of South Asia.
